Adelaide Hills Mid-Century Modern Kitchen Re-Design

A vintage mid-century modern home in Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills had been lived in for 40 years by the same owners. Nothing had been up-dated. So the new owner wanted to up-date with sympathy to the bones and heritage of this lovely home.

Keeping the same space, we placed the fridge in the spot where a tiny walk-in pantry had been. Modernised all the fittings and fixtures, and replaced the window with a servery to the al fresco. The mid-century modern vibe was retained with chocolate and wood grain cabinetry, a smoked glass splashback (yes, that’s the reflection of the space you can see), and used retro copper handles on the joinery.
